Creating Your First Link

Creating a tracking link with NextLinks is simple and takes just a few steps.

Step 1: Navigate to Links

In your dashboard, click on Links in the sidebar navigation.

Step 2: Create a New Link

Click the Create Link button to open the link creation form.

Step 3: Configure Your Link

Enter the following information:

• Destination URL: The final URL where users will land
• Internal Name: A name for your reference (not visible to users)
• Slug: The short URL path (auto-generated or custom)
• Domain: Choose your custom domain or use the default
• Tags: Add tags to organize your links

Step 4: Save and Use

Click Create to generate your NextLink. You can now share this link and track all clicks in your analytics dashboard.

What Happens When Someone Clicks

When a user clicks your NextLink:

1. NextLinks records the click with device, location, and referrer data
2. A unique click_id is generated
3. The user is redirected to your destination URL with the click_id appended
4. You can use this click_id to track conversions later
